The Islamic Foundation is a premier institution specialising in the fields of research, education, training, interfaith dialogue and publication. The key role of the Education & Training Officer will be to facilitate and administer the education and training courses which contribute to the vision and objectives of the Foundation and meet the needs of the community. The Officer will manage all aspects including course planning, venue and participant bookings, developing course material, managing records, issuing certification and conducting evaluation.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Advise senior management in the planning and implementation of education and training courses by developing links with the community, private and public sector organisations and other Islamic education providers and thought leaders.

• Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the informal Islamic education sector, both nationally and internationally.

• Help to create marketing content for websites and social media

• Process course bookings, forward instructions and manage status of all courses in line with the organisational policies, procedures, and standards. Arrange facilities, accommodation and logistics

• Where applicable, update virtual learning and student management systems, ensuring accurate records and data is maintained within the legal framework

• Evaluate improvement in the courses and programmes by using data, making objective decisions and promoting effective partnership working across all key stakeholders.

• Support the annual budgeting and planning process for the educational programmes/courses with CEO, maintaining good and accurate records of financial decisions.

 

Person specification

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent, preferably in Arabic and Islamic Studies with a teaching degree/ qualification. Up to date, sound knowledge of current provision of Islamic educational programmes. Proven track record in planning and organising educational programmes appropriate to individual's needs and abilities. Experience in managing virtual learning environment and student management system. Proven experience of effectively managing and motivating teams. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills. Excellent IT skills, MS Office applications, database management or equivalent.

 

Salary

Negotiable depending on qualification and experience
